Fellow of American Physical Society and has received several national and international awards including Oliver Buckley Prize in Condensed Matter Physics from APS (2009).\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Dr. Moodera’s many years of research in spin polarized tunneling led to the breakthrough discovery of tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) at room temperature with magnetic tunnel junctions (1994-1995), which further led the way to extensive and wide-ranging spintronics research over the decades. This includes super high-density hard drives since 2004 and the development of magnetic random-access memory (MRAM) providing a transformational leap in computer storage, nonvolatile magnetic memory, logic and sensing.
